Zero Conditionals
When is used?
To talk about facts, habitual activities or situations. When a certain result happens, when you have a given condition.
If you put your hand in the fire, you get burnt.

When is used?
To refer to the future. An action in the future will only happen if a certain condition is fulfilled by that time.
If I get a ride, I will go out tonight.

Using

If it is raining tonight, I will stay home and watch a movie.

CAN: present ability/ informal permission and request

SHOULD
Advice/ expectation
If you don´t feel better you should see a doctor.
MUST
Strong advice/ obligation/ logical conclusion
You must not eat sugar if you have diabetes.
MAY
Strong pssibility / polite permission
I may call you tomorrow if I need a ride to school.
Might
Weak possibility
If Jake doesn´t make his decision soon, he might lose this business opportunity.
Imperative
Express a command, instructions, advice and invitations.

To imaginary/ unreal situations in the present
If the police arrested the criminals, I would feel safer in this city.

How to use VERB TO BE in the if clause? ( to unreal or improbable situations)
Use WERE for all subjects.
If I WERE younger, I would move to Europe. Would Mary come to class if she weren´t travelling?
