So i think that

Suffering is the constant
Hope and despair come with emotion but I don’t think they are emotions I think they are perspectives directly related to or resulting in measures of motivation
I think the factors that make up these perspectives include percieved control or ability to choose. Sense of efficacy and faith in something larger than self. When I conceptualize this it’s not just going forward on a path it’s going forward just before a fork in the road. There’s something super important about the ability to choose that magnifies hope.
