Sizing:
Hands @ handles @ ht. of styloids
Hands on handles==35-45deg elbow bend
OR handlebars @ greater trochs

AXILLARY CRUTCHES OR SW
Sizing crutches
- 2 in. OR 2 fingers BELOW axilla
- Handpiece SHOULD give 20-30deg elbow flexion
- NOTE: Size what you think it should be, stand them up—-IF NOT THE RIGHT SIZE HAVE THEM SIT BACK DOWN AND RESIZE!!!
3 PT. gait pattern

- NWB on one side
- Crutches 12in out–hop to w/ good—crutches

Can be Lofstrands OR 2 canes
Sizing:
- Crutch placed 2 in Lat and 6 in Ant
- handgrip lvl w/ ulnar styloid OR Greater Trochs
- 20-30deg elbow flexion

Forearm Cuff:
- adjust last
- as close to elbow as poss w/out interfering w/ elbow flex
- width tight enough to stay but loose enough to be easily removed
4 Pt. Gait w. LSC’s
2 ADs (B/L)
*SLOW, INEFFICIENT===> MOST STABLE
PATTERN:
- Device—opp leg—opp device—opp leg
