Evaluative Comprehension
The ability to look at a piece of writing and figure out if it is fact or opinion, if the reasoning is wrong, and how the characters grow.
Explain why you think this story is factual or an opinion.
Cause and Effect
a way of writing in which the author tells why something happened or what happened as a result.
Organizational Structure
Text structure can include cause/effect, problem/solution, main idea/details, and/or sequence
Compare and Contrast
An organizational approach where the author provides similarities and differences about two ideas
