Q

Resistor

A

A light bulb. Slows down the flow of charges. Charges have to do work to move through a resistor. Certain materials provide significantly more resistance

Q

Light bulb

A

Type of resistor. Filaments has a very high resistance and heats up to be white hot. Electrical energy is converted to heat energy and to light energy. Brightness indicates how much energy

Q

Fuse

A

Protects the circuit. Current is usually able to flow through. When circuit overheats the fuse melts, making a gap (open circuit). Low melting point and low resistance.
