When have you taken on a challenging task to help improve the service and support your colleagues?

Answer 1

• S: Was the Stage 1 Student Representative.
• T: Regularly attended the student-staff liaison committee meetings to provide feedback on improvements to the course.
• A: Required me to reprioritise and manage workloads from coursework, Tesco and being a Student Rep, so I could help my peers as much as possible, by improving the course.
• R: Provided useful feedback to the lecturers without falling behind on Uni work and Tesco. One example was this assignment’s deadline on the data system did not line up to the one on Moodle.

How do you understand how your work contributes to the wider service?

Answer 2

S: Working as a personal shopper at Tesco.

T: Walk around a supermarket style warehouse, picking and packing the items ordered by customers for online shopping.

A: Regularly achieve targets of 240 items an hour whilst ensuring that I have minimal missing items or quality issues.

R: Just by making sure I reach these targets on a daily basis, I know I am serving my customers a little better, every day. By ensuring the items are high quality, I make the workloads easier for dispatch as they don’t have to deal with it.

Demonstrate a time you’ve had to use efficient resources to create the most value and deliver the right impact?

Answer 3

• S: Picking customers shopping at Tesco
• Task: Have to correctly select the right weights of meat and quantity of loose veg.
• A: Always doublechecking the price request on the scanner and finding the closest weight meat possible, so they get the amount they want. This means I am resourceful as I am not taking larger or smaller weights which may be requested for by other customers.
• R: The customers always receive the weight of meat they are after, or as close as possible.
