Describe a situation where you worked cooperatively with others and willingly gave help and support to your peers?
A
- S: Working at Tesco as a Dispatcher
- T: Working in a team of 5-6 people, with a range of responsibilities from preparing the used trolleys with fresh trays and customer labels.
- A: I often relocate myself across the department if my peers are falling behind or workloads increase, in order to ensure we stay on top of the operation.
- R: Mostly leads to my peers catching back up with the workloads without me compromising the section I am on

When have you had to explain something in a way in which you generating a common understanding?
A
- S: Crime scene house assessment in stage 2.
- T: Worked in a group of 5 people as crime scene investigators, had to investigate and analyse a crime scene. Evidence was assigned a priority based on the Hierarchy of Evidence, so the important pieces of evidence were collected first.
- A: One of the peers neglected key evidence. Explained to them the hierarchy of evidence.
- R: The peer revaluated the evidence and in the feedback, I was informed that my communication was excellent.

Q
Demonstrate a time when you had to respect and address an individuals specific needs and concerns?
A
- S: Work with this colleague on Dispatch in his 60s.
- T: He struggles to do the heavy lifting work due to his age, and he’s recently developed Parkinsons disease.
- A: When I see him struggling, and I’m on a less strenuous side of the department, I offer to switch with him in order to address his needs, so that he can perform better and also finds the work easier.
- R: Boosts his morale when he does well, and overall the team does better.

When have you been transparent and honest?
A
- S: When working with new people on dispatch, or Chris, sometimes I have to be transparent.
- A: When they make mistakes which may go unnoticed, I am honest with them and give them constructive feedback so they understand how they made the mistake, and how to avoid making it again.
- R: This improves the work produced by my peers, and by being honest with them, they know that I mean no disrespect by calling them out, but I infact mean to help.

Describe a situation where you have had to communicate in a clear and appropriate manner?
A
- S: When we fall behind on dispatch due to being understaffed/increasingly demanding workloads.
- T: Have to ask a manager for more support.
- A: I approach the manager with respect and communicate in an effective, respective manner.
- R: Due to the method in which I approach this, the managers are usually very understanding and appreciate the honesty.
