Bleeding or inflammation within a closed muscle compartment, leading to muscle and nerve ischaemia
Tibial area
It can also occur from a overly-tight cast

How does it present?
What signs may you see?
A
Pain out of proportion with the appearance
Swelling, redness and warmth
Altered sensation from nerve injury

What position should the limb be placed?
What should be removed if it is has been applied?

At the level of the heart
Bandaging or cast
Decompressive fasciotomy
