Define policing
The maintenance of law and order by a police force.

Voluntary work intended to help people in a particular area.
Define community service officer
Provides support in crime prevention, investigation, and call response while upholding law and order.
Recognize the philosophy and definition of community policing
Under the community policing model, where officers are empowered to identify and solve problems proactively, the answer is YES.
Why is community policing important?
It promotes interaction between officers and citizens.
New methodology community policing
Encourages reverting back to an evolved foot patrol.
Criticism of officers in cars
It creates an environment where the officer began losing touch with the community and caused public apathy.

Encouraging interactive partnerships between law enforcement and their community.
Collaboration
The act of working with another or other on a joint project and something created by working with others.
Coercion
Forced conformity with behavior predetermined by one who has the power to impose that conforming behavior.
C.O.P definition of problem solving
Any condition that alarms, harms, threatens or has potential for disorder in the community, particularly incidents that may appear as isolated.
