SWK Role: Enabler: E for EMPOWER. Help members use own resources to problem solve
Broker: Mediates and negotiates between community groups - Links community with services

Purpose: Determine a range of solutions to problems AND develop Programs to solve problems
SWK Role: EXPERT - Gather DATA and FACTS used to resolve problems

Purpose: Change social policy. FORM COALITIONS. Bring Organizations together
SWK Role: ORGANIZER - Join groups together to take joint action towards specific goals

EX: Bringing MADD and FADD together
What is Social Action?
What is the Purpose and what is the SWK role?
Purpose: Assist community members who NEED assistance/the DISADVANTAGED. You will take ACTION and CONFRONT on their behalf
SWK: Advocate: Represent the disadvantaged and ACTIVIST
