Simple
Compound (syndetic (coordinators) and asyndetic coordination- commas)
Complex: One main + any number of subordinate
Compound-complex: 2 main clauses + any number of subordinate

What is the classification of subordinate clauses according to their function?

A

Nominal: subject, object, complement, nominal-relative (They will do whatever they manage.)

relative: adnominal (restrictive and non-restrictive), sentential (related to the previous sentence: She passed her exams, which is perfect), nominal

Adverbial: place, manner, time, condition, concession, purpose, reason, result, contrast,…
