Which radios can be tuned from which RMP? How many can you listen to at the same time?
All VHF and 1 NAV. Can listen to all simultaneously.
What causes Amber SEL to light on the RMP?
If any form of cross tuning function is being performed.
What do the RESET and ON VOICE keys do on the ACP?
RESET - clears the buzzer/call
ON VOICE - clears the ident
When should audio switching be moved from the NORM position?
If audio channel 1 or 2 fails.
What is the difference between the INT and RAD selectors?
INT - activates boom/oxy and remains in position.
RAD - relevant ACP must be selected to activate boom/oxy.
What happens when a FWD/AFT is pressed on the CALLS panel?
Two steady pink lights on ACP. Capt vall with green light. High/low chime.
What happens if cabin staff emergency call flight deck?
ON light flashes in white on the EMER pb switch and CALL flashes in Amber. ATT flashes on all ACPs. Three buzzers will sound continuously. “Emergency Call” appears in cabin.
How long is CVR recording? When will they come on? How can crew energize CVR manually?
2 hours. Will come on 5 min after electrical energization. Can also be operated with the pb switch.
In case of FMGC failure, how can radio navigation frequencies be tuned?
RMPs to tune radios. Either can control ILS provided SBY NAV is selected on both.
What does M or R mean next to VOR/ADF indication?
M manually tuned via MCDU
R RMP tuned
What radio/nav equipment is available in electrical emergency?
RMP 1, ACP 1, VOR 1, ILS 1, ADF 1
