What is Peripheral Nervous System?
Is all of the parts of the nervous system except for the brain and the spinal cord. It connects all parts of the body to the CNS.
What is Central Nervous System?
Is your brain and spinal cord. CNS processes and responds to all messages coming from the peripheral nervous system.
What is Neuron?
Is a nerve cell. That is specialized to transfer messages in the form of fast moving electrical energy.
What is a Nerve?
Is a collection of axons bundled together with blood vessels and connective tissue.
What is the Brain?
Is the main control center of the nervous system.
What is Integumentary system?
Protects the body from damage. Includes har, skin, and nails.
What is reflex?
An involuntary action.
What is feedback mechanism?
Is a cycle of events in which information from one step controls or affects a previous step.
What is retina?
A layer of light-sensitive cells.
What is cochlea?
A fluid-filled organ of be inner ear.
