Bonjour: “bonzhour”

- Hello
- Used as a greeting and is VERY common. In fact, if you don’t say bonjour every time you go into a store/shop/restaurant/bakery, it’ considered as very rude or impolite!

* Can be used as a greeting or when you’re leaving (as a replacement for “bye”

- Don’t just say “ça va?” because it’s kinda missing something. So always make sure to say a greeting or somethin before it like, “Bonjour, ça va?” or “Salut, ça va?” or “Comment ça va?”

- French people use it all the time so don’t be afraid of overusing it or being too redundant. Also s’il vous plaît is a polite version of saying please. The friendlier version is s’il te plaît, which you use with people you’re close with such as your friends or family.
