Q

With the Cast a Spell action what can you do?

A

Cast a spell with a casting time of “1 Action.”

-Casting a spell is not necessarily an action.

-Each spell has a casting time, which specifies whether the caster must use an action, a reaction, minutes, or even hours to cast the spell.

-Most spells have a casting time of 1 action, so a spellcaster often uses his or her action in combat to cast such a spell.

Q

What happens when you take the Hide action?

If you succeed, you gain certain benefits:
-When a creature can’t see you, you have advantage on
attack rolls against it.
-You give away your location when the attack hits or misses.

-When a target that can’t see you tries to attack you anyway, they have disadvantage on the attack roll.
(If they don’t attack in the right direction at all then they automatically miss.)
