Ship building, fishing, lumber

Surplus means Extra that you can sell
What is a plantation?
It is a very, very large farm in the south.
Explain the triangular trade route.
Ships would take goods from the colonies to Europe to sell. Then it would travel south to Africa. They would kidnap slaves and overfill their ships. Then they would sail back to the colonies.
What was the nickname of the middle colonies?
The breadbasket
What did the middle colonies grow?
Corn and wheat
What were the main crops of the southern colonies?
Indigo, cotton, rice
Which colonies had the most slaves?
The southern colonies needed the slaves to work on the plantations.
