A
  • Customs: norm handed down from the past that controls basic behaviour.For example: division of labour in household.
  • Mores: customs with a strong moral overtone including taboos. Violation of these meets strong censure. For example: cloathing, sexuality.
  • Conventions: norms regarding conduct of everyday life. For example: spitting and belching of Chinese residents.
