Branches of Ophthalmic nerve

A
  • Nasociliary
    • anterior & posterior ethmoidal: sensation from anterior part of nasal cavity & paranasal sinuses (except maxillary)
    • infratrochlear: nasal skin sensation
    • external nasal: nasal skin sensation
    • Long ciliary (symp+S): sensation from cornea, sympathetics to dilator pupillae muscle
    • Short ciliary (para+S): sensation from eye, parasympathetics to constrictor pupillae & ciliary muscles
  • Frontal
    • supraorbital
    • supratrochlear
    • both serve sensation from anterior scalp, forehead, upper eyelid & its conjunctive
  • Lacrimal
    • senseation from upper lids & its conjunctive, parasympathetics to lacrimal gland
