Autonomics Flashcards
Autonomic plexus components?
Symphathetic post-ganglionic fibers
Parasympathetic pre-ganglionic fibers
Visceral afferent fibers
Sympathetic components
White Ramus Communicans (laterl / T1-L2)
Gray Ramus Communicans (medial / all spinal nerves)
Parasympathetic components
Cranial Nerves III, VII, IX: Head & neck
Cranial Nerve X (vagus): Thoracic viscera and gut up to LCF
S2-S4: Gut beyond LCF and pelvic viscera
Cardiopulmonary trunk sympathetic innervation?
- Preganglionics enter sympathetic trunk via T1-4/5 white rami
- Postganglionics leave trunk via cardiopulmonary nerves from cervical & upper thoracic ganglia
Where are unipolar and pseudounipolar neurons found?
DRG
Where are multipolar neurons found?
Ventral, lateral, and dorsal horns and sympathetic chain ganglia
Where are the lateral horns found?
T1-L2 and S2,3,4
What is SAME DAVE?
