faver, leukopenia, hepatitis, colitis, pneumonitis, esophagitis, gastritis, retinitis
What HIV CMV pts get?
CMV retinitis
What is the most common post-transplant organism?
CMV
How do you dx CMV??
PCR and IgG or M titers, lymphocytosis
When do you treat CMV?
when pt is immunocompromised, self limiting in regular
What are the drugs for CMV?
ganciclovir, Valganciclovir, Foscarnet
How long are transplant pt given prophylaxis antivirals for CMV?
3-6 mo
What do you suspect in healthy pt with mono like symptoms?
