Q

What is PM lead time and why would you want to use it?

A

The number of days in advance of the next due date that Maximo generated work orders from this PM. if a part has a 4-week lead time, by adding the PM lead time you can have the PM work order generated.

22
Q

Are HOLD and inactive statuses the same?

A

23
Q

How can I tell if a PM forecast exists?

A

The PM forecase box will be checked

24
Q

Does intel use the PM location field?

A

Location - Intel doesn’t use
The work ordered gets its location from the asset

25
Q

What is the PM counter and what does it represent?

A

Counter - Number of work orders generated from the PM since the first start date. The counter is set to zero when you insert a new PM record and increases each time you generate a work order from the PM. If you are using a job plan sequence, the job plan is selected after the counter increments.

26
Q

What field indicates if a PM has more than one frequency?

A

Use Job Plan Sequences - Specifies whether the PM uses job plan sequences. If the checkbox is selected the PM generates identical work orders every time.

27
Q

If the PM “Has Children” checkbox is marked, what does that indicate?

A

This is used if PM is a parent in the PM Hierarchy. If the checkboc is selected, the PM has child PMs associated with it. If the checkbox is selected, the PM has child PMs associated with it.

28
Q

What work type should you use when wanting technicians to perform rounds?

A

Work type of AM

AM work type provides the ability to delineate Condition based maintenance activity from scheduled PM activities.

29
Q

Which field help you determine the next PM due date?

A

Earliest Next Due Date - The date the PM will next generate to be completed.

30
Q

Should the “assigned to” field be preassigned

A

No the assigned to field should stay blank unless the PM Job Plan has material direct issue order

31
Q

Which shift designates Amentums responsibility?

A

SHIFT IFM

32
Q

What value indicates which organization is responsible for performing the PM?

A

GL Account

33
Q

Can an assets GL be different than a PMs GL?

A

Yes an asset can be owned by one group while a specific PM is owned by another.

34
Q

Which field if checked, tells the work order cron task that the frequency for a lower level PM should be checked when determining if all of the PMs in the hierarchy should be generated?

A

“Use this PM to Trigger PM Hierarchy field” - This checkbox defaults to being checked. It tells the generate WO function that the frequency for a lower level PM should be checked when determining if all of the PMs in the hierarchy should be genrated.

35
Q

Is it possible to endure that child work order statuses change if the parent work order status changes?

A

Yes, if the Child Work Order and Tasks will “inherit status changes” field is checked the should work order should change its status when the parent status changes.

36
Q

What could be used to generate PM work orders for asset meter readings?

A

Generate EO based on Meter Reading

37
Q

What is the difference between Frequency and Frequency units.

A

Frequency = Number of time units (1, 2, 3,)
Frequency Units = Defines the time units (days, weeks, months)

38
Q

Can you use non-standard PM frequency and unit combinations when necessary? And if so, where can I locate the non-standard combinations that are acceptable at intel?

A

yes. there are situations where non-standard pm frequency and unit combinations are necessary. Here are the intel non-standard PM frequencies.

39
Q

If PM dates differ in the Estimated Next Due Date and Extended Date field, which date will Maximo use to generate a work order?

A

Extended date - if extended date is entered, it will override the next due date.

40
Q

What is the difference between adjusting the extended date only vs the extended date and adjust next due date field?

A

Adjust Next Due Date - adjusts the next due date after PM generation making all changes permanent.

41
Q

What frequency can be used for meter based PMs?

A

Meter-based frequency MUST have annual.

42
Q

What value triggers the meter-based PM to generate?

A

fREQUENCY - fOR METER BASED pmS THE FREQUENCY VALUE IS THE TRIGGER TO GENERATE pmS

43
Q

What kind of meter does rollover apply to?

A

Rollover applies to continuous meters only. Rollover - a point at which the assets or location meter returns to its minimum value.

44
Q

From the PM module is there a way to look at the last PMWO meter reading?

A

Yes meter reading at last work order generation.

45
Q

What does seasonal dates allow you to do? give an example

A

Specify the active days months or seasons of a PM. Multiple active seasons can be defined for a single PM. You can also specify on which days of the week to generate work orders for a PM.

46
Q

What does the job plan sequence intervals tell us?

A

Specify the active days, months, or seasons of a PM. Multiple active seasons can be defined for a single PM. You can also specify on which days of the week to generate work orders for a PM

47
Q

What number does the job plan sequence interval always start at? Give an example of a sequenced PM, detailing the interval sequence.

A

Interval always begins at 1, and the most frequent frequency starts the sequence.

48
Q

If we need to remove a job plan to an existing sequenced PM what steps would we follow?

A
  1. Delete that Job Plan record form the sequence
  2. Resequence the PM interval as needed
  3. Review PM frequency and Units to determine if additional updates are needed
49
Q

If we need to add a job plan to an existing sequenced PM , what steos would we follow??

A
  1. Remove all job plans from the current PM record
  2. Add the job plan back to the PM record, including the newly added job plan and reset the sequence numbers
  3. Check the PM counter and set according to the job plan record
  4. Modify PM frerquency units as necessary
50
Q

When making changes to counters or PM job plan sequence intervals, how can you validate the structure of your PM schedule?

A

To understand and validate the structure and future generation dates of a PM record with a single job plan, run the PM look ahead report.

51
Q

When making changes to counters or PM job plan sequence intervals, how can you validate the structure of your PM schedule?

A

To understand and validate the structure and future generation dates of a PM record with a single job plan, run the PM look ahead report.

52
Q

What is a PM hierearchy and how does it differ from a PM route?

A
  1. PM hierarchy is a group of PMs with “Parent-child” relationships. Use a PM hierarchy to schedule a group of work orders for an assert or location hierarchy. if ay PM in the hierarchy is due, it triggers the generation of work orders for the entire hierarchy
  2. PM Route A list of related work assets which are considered “stops” along the route. Stops represent assets. The asset list can be related by location such as all pumps and motors in a room, or by asset type. Such as all fire extingishers in a building. Routes simplify building hierarchies of work orders for inspections.
53
Q

What criteria must be met for a PM hierarchy to be used?

A

A.)
PM: the child PM number associated to the parent PM to be generated on the same frequency

1 As a general rule, the parent PM is the asset with the most invasive maintenance.
2. Example Scrubbed exhaust fans annually, and the fan rotation or asset maintenance (parent) and the instrumentation.

B. Each asset needs a separate stand alone PM record which are then grouped on this PM hierarchy tab

C. Counters for both parent and child need to be the same.

D PM frequency and job plan frequencies for both parent and child must be the same.

E. Estimate the next due date for both parent and child assets.

54
Q

What is the name of the KPI - that is used to measure PM performance?

A

PM PAS - A report to measure performance against schedule. The only work types included are PM and PD

PM PAS = Preventive Maintenance Performed Against Schedule
