A

Asset names shall not include special characters. This is due to CMMS database issues reading special characters in some fields, and how it responds to those characters.

A

CMMS does not dictate asset naming/tagging. The instrument and equipment tagging specification sets asset name/tag configuration and standard.

FSM and TD Fab locations follow spec 1910_IMDS_03 for all new asset installations. In some cases, re-used or legacy asset naming may be used if agreed through the Component Matching Database Copy Exactly (CE!) details with CS TD and PTD approval.

A

CS FSM/TD factory asset tags must be entered with a prefixed fab code. This is partially to ensure no duplicate asset records.

Can an asset be deleted from maximo and if so when?

A

Asset records can be deleted from Maximo if no other CMMS records are associated with is. For example if an asset record was created with the wrong asset tag, it could be immediately deleted. Asset records are not deleted from the database if they have historical records associated to it. Assets that no longer exist shall be changed to decommissioned asset status. Assets that were never put into operation but have other CMMS records associated are changed to inactive asset status.

Gauge: Used on condition monitoring to track numeric data on rounds and readings. This meter tracks a range of values: Temperature, pressure, level, etc.

Occurrence: This factor is based on the 3 year global count and weighted impact severity of ITP and ITS CS QEF events specific to the asset classification of the root cause equipment listed. POR standardized default values are determined by the CS AMP team and set at the asset classification level. Values are auto populated upon asset record creation based on the asset classification value or subsequent classification change.

Early Detection (Capitol RPN Factor) Application of predictive maintenance practices used to extend asset life and predict failures. This may include IR scanning, vibration monitoring, oil analysis, etc. POR standardized default vaules are determined by the CS AMP team and set at the asset classification level.

PM:CM (Capitol RPM Factor) Maintenance program health plays a factor in the assets life. An industry-standard 6:1 PM: CM ratio is applied to this RPN factor. Values are determined at the asset level and re-evaluated and updated in Maximo quarterly by the CS AMP team. POR standardized default values are determined by the CS AMP team and set at the asset classification level. Values are auto-populated upon asset record creation based on the asset classification value or subsequent classification change.

End of Life (EOL) (Capitol RPN Factor) - This value is auto-generated based on the assets’ Expected and Estimated EOL date values compared to the current date. Maximo recalculates and updates the End of Life (EOL) factor values every Sunday.
