Location: Barossa Valley, South Australia
Wine Notes: Oldest Run Family run winery, established 1849.
Grape were fermented on the skin. Apera wine is blended in the final due to the angel-share loss each year.
Australian fortified wine is referred to as ‘apera.’
Tasting Notes: Baking Spices, Vanilla, Cloves, confectionary sweets: toffee and chocolate. Luscious mouth feel.

Tasting Notes: Bruised apple and pear, mild almond notes
Wine notes: Flor aged, but depletes and the wine slowly oxidizes. Richer, older and more complex wines.

Variety: 100% Palomino Fino
Location: Jerez DO, Andalucia, Spain
Tasting Notes: dried fruit, dates, apricots, honey, hazelnut, and saline
Wine Notes: Wine is a blend, but they do not produce wine. Both oxidatively and biologically aged. After the flor dies in the fino cask, it is designated amontillado, and fortified again to prevent oxidation.

Tasting Notes: Cherry, Black currant, chocolate, violets, smoke.
Wine Notes: all from the Vargellas estate, 98 vintage was wet winter, cold spring, hotter july and august.
Quinta de Vargellas is the source of prized ports high in the upper Douro Valley.
