What are the different forms of clouds? And explain each form
Cumuloform- Big puffy clouds
Stratoform- Blanket of grey clouds
Cirrusform- Wispy clouds
Nimbus- Rain clouds
What are the different heights of clouds? State the heights
Low- up to 6500 ft
Mid- “alto”- between 6500 & 23000 ft
High- “cirro”- above 23000 ft
What are the only two clouds which produce precipitation?
Nimbostratus
Cumulonimbus
What is a stratus cloud?
Grey blanket of clouds but cannot identify the sun
What is an altostratus cloud?
Grey blanket of clouds with the sun identifiable looking fuzzy through the clouds
What is a cirrostratus cloud?
Grey blanket of clouds with a ring around the sun or moon
What is a cumulus cloud?
Big puffy cloud
What is an altocumulus cloud?
Smaller puffy cloud, often forming 3D patterns
What is a cirrocumulus cloud?
Smaller cloud than altocumulus, often forming 2D patterns
