Q
Clinical depression
A
Most people feel a little down from time to time. We might argue with our
friends or fail on a test and that might make us feel sad for a few days. However,
if these feelings persist for weeks or even months and get more severe, then
a doctor would diagnose clinical depression. Clinical depression is not the
same as the depression caused by the death of a loved one or by a physical
condition such as a thyroid disorder. Depression can affect anyone, including
children. There are different therapies available to help improve the symptoms
of depression.
