  • Pps were debreifed at the end, actor met learner and told shocks were not real
  • Clinical psychologist was present to end the trial if signs or distress occured to pps

  • Obedience rate (70% )slightly lower than Milgrims (82%)
  • No significant difference in obedience of women (72.7%) and men (66.7%)
  • Empathy did not make a difference, defiant (19.25) and obedient (19.20)
  • Defiant (106.92) pps had slightly higher desire to control than obedient (98.24)
