Pisco Sour
2 oz Pisco 1 oz lime juice 1 oz simple syrup 1 egg white -shake & strain - put several dashes of bitters on foam
Caipirinha
1) muddle a quartered half lime with .75 oz simple syrup or 1.5 barspoons sugar in a rocks glass
2) add ice and 2 oz cachaca
*can be built in glass or shaken & poured into rocks glass
**Caipirissima is rum, Caipiroska is vodka
Rickey

Whiskey Sour
1.5-2 oz bourbon or rye
.75 oz simple syrup
.75 oz lemon juice
-shake all ingredients with ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass or a special sour

-garnish with a flag

- shake well & strain into iced double old fashioned glass
- garnish with lime wheel, mint, & a sonya orchid

2 oz silver tequila

3/4 oz lime juice

- shake & strain into salt-rimmed, iced bucket
- garnish with lime wedge

Bellini
1.5 oz peach puree
4 oz champagne

Bloody Mary (original)
1.5 oz vodka 2 dashes Worchestershire sauce 4 dashes Tabasco sauce pinch salt & pepper dash celery salt fresh horseradish .25 oz lemon juice 4 oz tomato juice
Daiquiri (original)
1) stir .5 teaspoon superfine sugar with juice of half a lime
2) add 2 oz rum
3) shake & strain?
Gimlet
2.5 oz gin
.5 oz Rose’s or Angostura lime juice
- shake & strain into cocktail glass or into iced old fashioned glass
- garnish with lime wedge
Irish Coffee
1.5 oz Jameson’s
1 oz simple or brown sugar syrup
4 oz coffee
-top with whipped cream
Manhattan
2 oz rye or bourbon
1 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
- stir & strain
- garnish with cherry (some prefer twist)
*dry Manhattan made with dry vermouth & garnished with twist
Dry Martini (original 1895 recipe)
1.5 oz London dry gin
1.5 oz French dry vermouth
1-2 dashes orange bitters
- stir & strain
- garnish with orange or lemon twist
Classic Extra Dry Martini (from 1950’s on)
3 oz London dry gin or vodka
1/8 oz dry French vermouth
- season ice with vermouth, then strain off
- add liquor, stir, & strain
- garnish with pitted Spanish olive (not pimento)
Mint Julep
1) gently bruise 1 mint sprig with 1 oz simple syrup or 2 teaspoons superfine sugar in a highball glass
2) add 1.5 oz bourbon and fill with crushed ice
3) swirl with spoon until glass is frosted
4) top off with crushed ice & add 1 oz bourbon
5) garnish with mint
Negroni
1 oz London dry gin
1 oz Campari
1 oz sweet vermouth
- combine in iced old fashioned glass & stir
- garnish with orange peel or slice
- can also be served straight up
- Count Negroni topped his with soda
Old-Fashioned (original)
1) muddle 1 sugar cube or 1 tsp sugar, 3 dashes Angostura bitters, & splash soda (<1 tsp) until syrup forms
2) add 2 oz bourbon or rye & ice, & stir
3) garnish with a lemon twist
Old-Fashioned (muddled, circa 1915)
1) in an old fashioned glass muddle 1 orange slice, 1 cherry, 1 tsp sugar, 3 dashes Angostura bitters, & a splash soda
2) remove the orange rind
3) add 2 oz bourbon, ice, & splash soda or water
4) garnish with fresh orange slice & a cherry
Sazerac
1) prepare glass for absinthe rinse
2) muddle 3-4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters with sugar cube or .5 oz simple syrup in mixing glass
3) add 2 oz rye, ice, & stir
4) strain into glass after rinsing with absinthe
5) garnish with lemon twist
*originally made with Sazerac de Forge et Fils, the favorite cognac of the day
Stinger
2.25 oz VS or VSOP cognac
.75 oz white creme de menthe
-shake & strain over crushed ice in old fashioned glass or serve straight up
