Used public halls and theaters for religious use in order to reach the unchurched urban population
The 7th Earl of Shaftesbury: Ashley Cooper. A politician and Evangelical who did a lot for the Reformed. He pressed for reform for the women and children who were working in coal mines and Chimney Sweeps, who were working 18 hrs a day in inhumane conditions.
Phoebe Palmer
A Methodist evangelist and writer who promoted the doctrine of Christian perfection. She is considered one of the founders of the Holiness movement within Methodist Christianity.
