The Emancipation Proclamation
Issued by President Lincoln in 1862. It was created to free all the slaves in slave states only.
Missouri comprimise
Under this plan Missouri was admitted as a slave state and Maine was admitted as a free state. It also said that no state above the 36’ 30’ line could be slave states

Americans that want to abolish,or end slavery.
Dred Scott Case
A slave sued for his freedom, but he lost. The judge ruled that slaves were property. Also declared the Missouri Compromise unconstitutional.
