District of Columbia V. Heller
1) District of Columbia V. Heller~ District of Columbia law bans handgun possession by making it a crime to carry an unregistered firearm and prohibiting the registration of handguns; provides separately that no person may carry an unlicensed handgun
Rights of the accused
the right to a fair trial; due process; the right to seek redress or a legal remedy; and rights of participation in civil society and politics such as freedom of association, the right to assemble, the right to petition, the right of self-defense, and the right to vote.
Powers of the executive branch~
The Executive Branch conducts diplomacy with other nations and the President has the power to negotiate and sign treaties, which the Senate ratifies. The President can issue executive orders, which direct executive officers or clarify and further existing laws.
Juvenile rights
in juvenile commitment proceedings, juvenile courts must afford to juveniles basic constitutional protections, such as advance notice of the charges, the right to counsel, the right to confront and cross-examine adverse witnesses, and the right to remain silent.
Segregation
the action or state of setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart.
Role(s) of the President
commander in Chief, Legislative leader, foreign policies leader.
Requirements to become President
According to Article II of the U.S. Constitution, the president must be a natural-born citizen of the United States, be at least 35 years old, and have been a resident of the United States for 14 years.

The rules of buying and selling with other countries in order to create a fair trade
Coin and print money -
- is a power given to the Federal government and controlled by the Legislative Branch.
Standing committee-
committee from Congress, review bills and issues (standing meaning that it is always there)
Special committee-
- Committee from Congress responsible for assignments higher then the standing committee’s (only forms and meets when needed)
Conference committee
Settles disputes between the two other committees.
