valves in order
tricuspid valve
pulmonary valve
mitral valve
aortic valve
what are ventricles
are the lower, thick walled chambers that pump blood from the heart to the body
right ventricle goes to heart,
left ventricle goes to body
what is the circulatory system made up of
blood vessels that carry blood away from and towards the heart
heart
difference between veins and arteries
veins carry blood from your organs and towards the heart. Carry deoxygenated blood, less thick walls,
arteries carry blood away from heart, carry oxygenated blood, thicker walls
action of the heart
able to receive and pump blood through the cardiac cycle.
This consists of the disatole (relaxation of filling) and systole ( contraction or pumping phase)
