What is FISH?
A
fluoresence in Situ Hybridization.
a probe is applied to pateint’s cells and FISH determines the number of copies present. Probe DNA hybridizes to complementary chromosomal DNA and flueorescence is used to see it. Can be done in interphase or metaphase cells.
