What is a constitutional mutation?
A
one that is present in all cells of the body (germline and somatic). Will be passed on. Can be from inherited or new mutations.

What are acquired mutations?
A
those that arise in somatic cells after conception. Will only be passed on to its own daughter cells. Will not be passed on to children.
