What is the difference between the teachings of the early and late old testament?
Early one says God is the best God so there are multiple but late old testamnet establishes monotheism.
What are does God have to do to uphold the covenant?
Make a great nation
Bless those who look after them
Destroy those who don’t look after them eg. in Egypt
Treasure them as special ‘chosen people’
Will punish those who disobey
Will love the chosen people throughout time.
What do people have to do to uphold the covenant?
Leave your landnand head to the promise land
Fully obey God’s commandments
Have no other Gods
Worship no idols

Innaccurate/misleading

Gives God a gender, race etc.

Why is God pictured if it is so flawed?
Trying their best
Why is monotheism important?
Establishes the only God as omnipotent, if not omnipotent then God would have limited authority.
Establishes God as the creator,sustainer etc.
