The idea God is 3 in1
For example: Father, Son Holy Spirit but 1 God just in 3 forms
Incarnation
The idea that Jesus was God in human form
Example: Jesus could eat and cry but also do miracles
Atonement
Jesus’ death meant we can be at one with God, having peace between human and God
Example: Believing that Jesus forgave our sins so we could have a perfect relationship with God

Jesus came back to life after he dies, demonstrating His power over death
Example: Jesus’ tomb was empty on the 3rd day after the crucifixion

An outward sign of an invisible blessing from God
Example: Baptism, Holy communion, matrimony and ordation

Telling people the good news about Jesus’ message, with the intension of converting people to Christianity
Example: Inviting someone to come to church or sharing a testimony

Crucifixion
He was taken to Jerusalem (forced to carry his own cross), stripped and put a scarlet robe on him. They also put a thorn crown on him. People said “Hail king of the Jews” They took carried him to Golgotha (“place of the skull”)

How was Jesus dying part of Gods plan?
The crucifixion of Jesus was part of Gods divine plan, the death of Jesus was necessary to allow the resurrection to take place and for Jesus to fulfil his role.
Resurrection
Jesus was buried in Josephs tomb wrapped in white cloth. Two women went to the body but it was gone. No one believed the woman so peter went to check. The stone had been rolled away. Two men were going to Jerusalem and Jesus joined then but weren’t able to recognise him. He broke bread and they remembered
“why are you looking
for the living amoung the dead”

The only way to have Gods atonement is through kindness
Ascention
The ascension was 40 days after the resurrection. A crowd of people saw Jesus and led them to Bethlehem. He said the holy spirit will come and guide them and they should be his witness. Then he was taken/raised up into a cloud and went to heaven. Angels spoke to the crowd and said he would return to earth in the same way. Everyone returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy and spent time at temples.

Is the study of the death and judgement and what comes next (afterlife)

Some Christians believe our bodies will be resurrected like Jesus
Some believe in spiritual resurrection
Some Christians believe that whoever has faith in Jesus will have all their sin forgiven
Some believe in the parable of the sheep’s and goat where sins will be judged
Roman Catholics believe there is 3rd option called purgatory where we will have a chance to get rid of our sin which will purify our souls then we will be ready to go to heaven

What does Literal interpretation of a scripture mean?
A literal interpritation of the creation story suggests that every fact is litterally true
For example, God created earth in 6 days and rested on thr 7th day, Adam and eve were the first people
What does figurative interpretation mean?
This means that the craetion story may have been a more figurative or symbolic meaning that is intended to teach a moral or a lesson about like and being human
These christians are open to the idea that science may be able to answer some of the HOW questions while scripture can answer some of the WHY questions.
What is the original sin?
When Adam and Eve sined (ate the apple), evil and suffering entered himan experience
What is the role of Father in the Trinity?
Often seen as the creator and the source of all things
What is the role of Holy Spirit in the Trinity?
The Holy Spirit is seen as the presence of God within believers, guiding, comforting and empowering them.
What is the role of the Son in the Trinity?
Jesus Christ, known as the son, is believed to be God incarnate, who came to earth to teach and save humanity.

They take the Bible very seriously for them its the ultimate authority on everything on life
