What is evangelism?
The belief that Christianity is the only true religion and other religions are wrong

Believing all Christian groups and other religions are equally valid ways to approach God. They encourage all to worship and work together e.g. Taize in France

People who travel to other countries to help other people and teach them about Christianity

The oldest group of Christians founded by Jesus Christ. Peter was its first leader and then its first pope

A centre in France where Christians from different denominations meet together

Why may Christians persuade others to become Christians?
They may believe that only by becoming Christian can people have a chance of reaching heaven

Also known as ‘The Religious Society of Friends’. A christian based group following liberal views.
What is the law on racism?
~ It’s illegal to stir racial hatred with abusive language or threats
~ It’s illegal to refuse someone a job on their race
Where in the bible are women and men seen as important?
~ Jesus showed himself to women first after the resurrection
~ All the disciples were men e.g Matthew, Mark & Luke
Explain how Christians might respond to racism
~ Work to end it by protesting, because everyone should be equal
~ Speak out against it to raise awareness, e.g. following the example of Trevor Huddleston who spoke out against apartheid
~ Pray to God so that he’ll guide them on what to do to end racism because ‘with God everything is possible’
‘Women should not be leaders in the Church’
+ Some Christians (Roman Catholic + Eastern Orthodox) believe during Mass the priest represents Jesus, so it would be disrespectful for a woman to take this role.
