- Services are usually in a very plain room, with seating arranged in a square or circle.

- Thoughts or readings are sometimes offered

- Very energetic, people dancing, shouting, screaming, waving their hands

- Liturgical and formal
- There are priests and they wear robes
- People singing hymns
- Mass
- Churches often have statues of Mary and some saints.

Greek Orthodox
A
- Take shoes of before going into the Church
- The Great Litany asks for blessings on the Church and the world. Believers ask the saints to offer their prayers to God - this is called the intercession of the saints.
- Musical instruments aren’t used
- Singing and chanting
- Incense is burned to represent prayers rising to God in heaven
- Male and females are separated
- A screen with icons of Jesus and the saints separates the congregation from the sanctuary where the altar is, symbolising the division between heaven and earth.
- Only priests, who lead the services, are allowed in the sanctuary.
