Why is the incarnation important to Christians
- Enabled God to atone for human sin > Jesus was the sacrifice-lamb of God to make up for the Fall of Adam and Eve

What happened before the cricifixion - Holy week
- Jesus predicts his death at the last supper
- He is betrayed to the Jewish high priests by Judas
- He is arrasted in the Garden of Gethsemane by the Roman soldiers and the Jewish high preists
- He is given an illegal trial at night by the high priests
- He is handed over to Pontius Pilate
