aims to bring churches together
- came about after WW1 which saw devastation to human kind
- they thought if they worked together across the world they could spread peace and avoid waar
- they hold a special week of prayer for christian unity

  • seven men took monastic vows and started a community which now has 80 monks from Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox
