What is a collage structure?
It explores many different ideas and imagery about one particular theme
What is an ABACADA structure?
Rondo. The A is a repeating section and the BCD are all the ‘verses’ in between.
What is a narrative structure?
ABCDEF… It follows or helps to tell a story in chronological or progressional order
What is an episodic structure?
When each section is defined but may not take place in chronological order. Each section should be able to stand up independently.
What is an ABA structure?
A tertiary or cyclic structure. The A section is repeated with a contrasting section in between
Give an example of how you would generate a chance structure? Which practitioner has done this?
You could roll a dice to decide the order. Merce Cunningham has used this in his choreography.
What is an A1A2A3 structure?
The numbers represent a variation and the letter A represents a recurring theme. The content of this shouldn’t change.
What is an AB structure?
Binary. It is used to show two contrasting ideas
