Q
What does physostigmine do?
A
Physostigmine is a cholinesterase inhibitor that crosses the BBB. It blocks the enzyme that metabolizes ACh, which results in a high concentration of ACh at the synapses
results: prolonged muscle contraction, bronchoconstriction, bradycardia, hypotension, pupillary constriction, and SLUD
