A
S. 37 (1A) – Guilty if person intentionally chokes, suffocates or strangles another person
S. 37(1) – Intentionally chokes, suffocates or strangles another person rendering them unconscious, insensible or incapable of resistance
S. 37(2) As (1) with intent to commit further indictable offence

Define: Choke, Suffocate and Strangle
A
Choke– obstruction of air passages (item in mouth)
Strangle – restrict blood flow (2 hands around throat)
Suffocate – Covering of nose and mouth (pillow etc)
