- pain when urinating
- unusual vaginal discharge
- pain in tummy or pelvis
- pain or bleeding during sex
- bleeding after sex
- bleeding between periods
- heavier periods than usual
- if serious can spread to womb - pelvic inflammation disease

- uncomplicated genitial chlamydia trachomatis infection and sexual contacts are of confirmed chlamydia trachomatis infections
- male and female who are 15 and ovwr with positive test
- sexual contact with client tested positive
- under 16s must be assessed using fraser guidelines
