  • Nominal or Ordinal Scale (Yes/No, Pathology/No Pathology)
  • Determines difference between observed and expected proportions seen in categories (Ex: Expected Fall or No Fall = 50%, Observed 20%.

Two General Assumptions - Chi Squared

A
  • Frequencies represent original counts, data is actual number of people, objects or events and is not a summary statistics
  • Categories are exhaustive and mutually exclusive (Fit into one category); Ex: 4 categories, they all fit in one of the four.
