I live in a house in Edinburgh
J’habite dans une maison à Edimbourg
It is a small village surrounded by fields and forest

In my village there are three farms with sheep, cows, chickens and pigs

It is very calm and peaceful
C’est très calme et paisible
In my house there are many rooms: there is a kitchen, a living-room, bathroom, toilets, many rooms, a garage and even a games room and library
Dans ma maison il y a beaucoup de pièces: il y a une cuisine, un salon, une salle de bains, des toilettes, plusieurs chambres, un garage et même un sale de jeux et un bibliothèque
My room is quite big
Ma chambre et assez grande
It is between my parents room and my sisters Celine room
Elle est entre la chambre de mes parents et la chambre de ma sœur, Céline
My sisters room is bigger than mine, but my room is more comfortable than hers
La chambre de ma sœur est plus grande que la mienne, mais ma chambre est plus confortable que la sienne
In my room there is a big bed, next to the window
Dans ma chambre j’ai un grand lit, près de la fenêtre
I also have a nice wardrobe in light wood where I arrange my clothes
J’ai aussi une belle armoire en bois clair où je range mes vêtements
Next to the wardrobe there is a table and on the table there is a computer
À Côte de l’armoire ily à une table et sur la table il y a mon ordinateur
In front of the window there is my desk and my chair
En face de la fenêtre il y a mon bureau et ma chaise
Underneath my desk there are long blue shelves on which there are books and trinkets
Au dessus de mon bureau j’ai de longues étagères bleus sur lesquelles il y a des livres et des bibelots
On the shelves there are posters of my favorite singers
Sous les étagères il y a des posters de mes chanteurs préférés
In the middle of the room there is a rug where I love to sit to listen the radio or watch tv
Au centre de la pièce il y a un tapis épais ou j’aime m’assoir por écouter la radio ou regarder la télévision
We have a big garden with trees and flowers
Nous avons un grand jardin avec des arbres et des fleurs
The village is next to the mountains and at night love listening to silence and look at the stars and the moon in the sky
Le village est près des montagnes et la nuit j’aime écouter le silence et regarder les étoiles et la lune dans le ciel
In my village there is a café, a post office and a church
Dans mon village il y a un café, une poste et une église
I live next to the cafe
J’habite près du café
But there is no school
Mais il n’y a pas de collège
To study I must go into town by bus every day
Pour étudier je dois aller en ville en bus tout les jours
I love the town because there are plenty of things to see, like a supermarket, the swimming pool and the station
J’aime la ville parce qu’il y a plein the choses, comme le supermarché, la piscine et la gare
My friends who live in the town go to school by bike
Mes amis qui habitent en ville vont à l’école à vélo
It is more fun than taking the bus
C’est plus amusant que de prendre le bus
Two years ago I worked as a young au pair girl in Germany during two months
Il y à deux ans, j’ai travaillé comme jeune fille au pair en Allemagne pendant deux mois
The family was very big
La famille était très nombreuse
There were 11 people, including me,, therefore there was a lot of work
Il y avait once personnes, moi y compris, donc il y avait beaucoup de travail
They wee very disorganized, very careless and every morning I started to clean the whole house - the living-room, the kitchen etc..
Ils étaient très désordonnées, très négligents et tous les matins je commençais par nettoyer toute la maison - le salon, la cuisine etc.
The children were quite old
Les enfants étaient assez âgés
But the last girl, who was 12, was really very bad educated- she was insolent and she obeyed with much difficulty and regularly there were arguments with her parents, there were some slaps
Mais la dernière fille, celle qui avait douze ans, était vraiment très mal élevée - elle était insolente et elle obéissait très difficilement et régulièrement il y avait des disputes avec ses parents, il y avais quelques claques
But I have a good souvenir of the stay, because I wasn’t so much considered as a servant, which is often the case with young au pair girls, but rather like the last girl in the family, like a sort of French host
Mais j’ai un très bon souvenir de ce séjour, parce que je n’étais pas tellement considéré comme servante, ce qui est souvent le cas avec les jeunes filles au pair, mais plutôt comme la dernière fille de la famille, comme un sorte d’hôte française
It was well paid
C’était assez bien payé
I earned 250 euros per month, but I was lodged and fed, so it was
J’ai gagné 250 euros par mois, mais j’etait logée et nourrie, donc ca allait
The experience has served me well, I have made progress of course in the language
L’expérience m’a bien servie- j’ai fait des progrès bien sûr dans la langue
I have really liked the work
Le travail m’a tellement plu
Last year I worked as a trainee
L’année dernière j’ai travaillé comme stagiaire
It was mainly to welcome the tourists, find accommodation for them, the day before the 14 July, to indicate to them the curiosities of the vtown, tourist advantages and the most beautiful beaches
Il s’agissait surtout d’accueillir les touristes, de leur trouver un logement, , de leur indiquer les curiosités de la ville, les avantages touristiques et les plus belles plages
When I left high school I didn’t know very well what I wanted to do, so I was rather influenced and I went to the faculty of law
Quand j’ai quitté le lycée je ne savait pas très bien ce que je voulais faire, alors j’ai été plutôt influencée et je suis allé en Faculté de droit
So I have done one year in the law faculty, the first year and after it has been found that I didn’t like it
J’ai donc fait un an en Faculté de Droite, la première année et puis, il s’est avéré que ça ne me plaisait pas, alors j’ai décidé d’entrer en Faculté d’anglais
The next year was quite difficult at the beginning because English wasn’t my first foreign language
L’année suivante a été assez difficile au début parce que l’anglais n’était pas ma première langue étrangère
I had learnt German as first foreign language
J’avais appris l’allemand en première langue étrangère
It I have always loved English , languages in general and this is why I have decided to study English
Mais j’ai toujours aimé l’anglais, les langues en général et c’est pourquoi j’ai décidé d’étudier l’anglais
I am very happy of my choice
Je suis très content de mon choix
I hope that English will help me in my future life because I have a good intention to stay abroad as long as possible
J’espère que l’anglais m’aidera dans ma vie future parce que j’ai bien l’intention de rester à l’étranger les plus long temps
I would love to be a teacher if it is possible and stay some years maybe in Scotland, in Great Britain and leave, being towards Ustralia, being towards United States or Canada
J’aimerais êtreprof si c’est possible et rester quelques années peut-être en Ecosse, en Grand Bretagne et partir, soit vers lAustralie, soit vers les Etas-unis ou le Canada
I would love to travel as much as possible and maybe eventually after some years return to France
J’aimerais voyager le plus possible et peut-être éventuellement dans quelques années rentrer en France
