What is addition polymerisation
A
When lots of small Allen’s molecules (monomers) open their double bonds and join to make Long chain molecules called polymers.

What conditions are required for an addition polymerisation reaction
A
High pressure and/or a catalyst

How do you draw the displayed formula of an addition polymer
A
Remove the double bond, add an extra single bond to either side of the carbons, draw brackets around the edges and put an n after to show that there’s more than one unit

How do you draw a monomer from a given polymer
A
Remove the outside bonds and put a double bond between the two carbon atoms
