Engine Start (Auto)
- Canopy - Closed and Latched (Both)
- Navigation and Anti-Collision lights - As Required
- PMU FAIL/PMU STATUS annunciators - Extinguished
- PCL - Advance to St Ready
- Propeller Area - Clear
- STARTER switch - Auto/Reset
- Engine Start - Monitor (ITT, N1, Oil Pressure and Temp, Fuel Flow, and Hydraulic Pressure)
- PCL - ADVANCE PAST TWO CLICKS, THEN IDLE(at or above 60 N1)
External power - Disconnected
Engine Start High IOAT at Start >80*C
- PCL - Verify Off
- PMU - Reset as Necessary
- PMU switch - Off
- Propeller Area - Clear
- STARTER switch - MANUAL FOR 20 SECONDS MAXIMUM
- STARTER switch - Norm
- Repeat Steps 4-6 if IOAT is greater than 80* C
- PMU switch - Norm
- Continue with Engine Start
Before Taxi (Part 1)
- GEN switch - ON, ANNUNCIATORS EXTINGUISHED (Check voltage and amps)
- BLEED AIR INFLOW switch - NORM
- EVAP BLOWER control - AS REQUIRED
- AIR COND switch - AS REQUIRED (On)
- Oxygen mask - ON AND SECURE
- OBOGS - Check (Both)
- a. OBOGS supply lever - On
- b. OBOGS concentration lever - Check MAX (light on)
- c. OBOGS pressure lever - Check emergency (increased pressure) then back to normal
- d. Check flow indicator for normal operation - Both
- AVIONICS MASTER switch - On
- TAS - ON, After VSI/TAS display illuminates
- a. TAS STBY/NORM/TEST switch - Norm
- b. TAS UP/DN buttons - As required
- c. NORM/BEL/ABV switch - As required
- d. TAS STBY/NORM/TEST switch - Test
- e. TAS STBY/NORM/TEST switch - STBY
Before Taxi (Part 2)
- Standby Attitude Indicator - Uncage/Adjust (BOTH)
- Anti G-test - Depress as Required
- Speed Brake - Check (Ground Crew Observer if Available)
- Flaps - Check (Ground Crew Observer if Available)
12 a. Set flaps LDG - Verify flaps move to LDG
12 b. Set flaps TO - Verify flaps move to TO
12 c. Attempt to extend speed brake - TRIM AID switch - ON (Verify TAD OFF message extinguished and rudder trim set in green range)
- GPS - Programmed and Set
Before Taxi (Part 3)
- Flight Instruments - Check
- RMU - Set as required
16 a. UHF COMM - Set as required
16 b. VHF COMM - Set as required
16 c. Transponder - Set as required
16 d. VHF Nav - Set - Altimeters - Set and Check
- Caution and Warning Panel - Check
- Landing/taxi lights - As required
- Parking Brake - Release
Taxi
- Nose Wheel Steering - ON
- Brakes - Check (BOTH)
- Heading and turn and slip indicators - Proper Indications
Overspeed Governor Check
- Brakes - Hold as Required
- PCL - Idle
- PMU switch - Off (Verify Idle N1 stabilizes between 60% and 70%)
- PCL - Advance to 100% +/- 2% Np (~30% Torque) and allow engine to stabilize
- PCL - advance sightly and verify Np remains 100+/-2%
- PCL - Idle
- PMU switch - NORM (Verify PMU fail light extinguishes, Np returns to 46% to 50% Np, and N1 returns to 60-61%)
Before Takeoff
- Minimum power at 60 KIAS - Compute
- Speed brake - Retracted
- Flaps - TO
- Trim - Set for Takeoff
- Fuel quantity and balance - Check
- Engine Instruments - Check
- Amps - Verify +50 Amps or Less
- DEFOG switch - Off
- Seat safety pin - Removed and Stowed (Both)
- ISS mode selector - As Required (Verify ISS Lever is Locked in Desired Event)
Lineup Check
- Caution and Warning lights - Check (Both)
- Probes ANTI-ICE switch - On
- Transponder - As required
- TAS STBY/NORM/TEST switch - NORM
- Exterior Lights - ON
- NWS - OFF
After Takeoff
- Gear - UP (AS REQUIRED)
2. Flaps - UP
Climb (Passing 10,000 ft)
- OBOGS - Check flow indicator for normal operation
- DEFOG switch - As required
- Vent control lever - As required
- Pressurization system - Check
Operations/Pre-Stalling/Spinning/Aerobatics Check
HEFOE (check every 15 minutes in flight)
- Hydraulic Pressure - Check
- Electrical Systems - Check
- Fuel quantity/balance - Check
- OBOGS - Check flow indicator for normal operation
- Engine instruments - Check
- Pressurization - Check
Aerobatics Check
FENCE (when entering MOA)
- Fuel - Check
- Engine - Within Limits
- NAV aids - Set/Clear for other Aircraft
- Communication - Set UHF/VHF/VHF Nav, complete checklist
- Equipment - G suit test
Pre-Stalling, Spinning, and Aerobatics Check
CLEF (prior to aerobatics)
- Clear - Area
- Loose items - Stowed (Both)
- Engine instruments - Check (within limits)
- Fuel balance - Check less than 50 pounds of inbalance
Descent
- Heading and Attitude - Check (Crosscheck with EADI and Standby ADI)
