This is regarding the strikes in the mines. This is completely wrong as there were many labour strikes at the time. This shows how little he thinks of the working class and shows that if he does not change his ways he will suffer in the future

A

Stanley Baldwin was a prime minister between the two wars and was a “hard faced man” for profiting of the war.
This is similar to Mr Birling as he also profiting off the suffering of his workers
This also is similar to other affluent men at the time who all set wage’s extremely low

Dramatic irony as it did sink. The titanic could illistrate wealth and power and symbolisis capatilism. This can forshadow the downfall of his views by the inspector who represents socialism
