Partner Uncertainty: you are uncertain about your partner’s feelings and intentions, including if the partner reciprocates their feelings

Uncertainty management theory- uncertainty is neither positive nor negative but something that is managed. However, we generally dislike uncertainty and are motivated to reduce it

Predicted Outcome value theory- people only seek to reduce uncertainty about someone if they see that person as rewarding

Theory of Motivated Information Management– People are only motivated to manage their uncertainty levels when they perceive a discrepancy between the levels of uncertainty they have about an important issue and the level of uncertainty they want
