- Some people are critical of this type of aid because it can be perceived as politically motivated

the purpose of multilateral aid is to provide large-scale support at a global level, in order to address issues impacting global health and wellbeing, as well as human development
limitation
- this type of aid can have a significant impact due to the large-scale projects that are able to be undertaken
